The Sparkling Rose cocktail is a drink built with tequila, watermelon juice, lemon juice, and sugar syrup.
Sparkling Rose Cocktail Info
Tequila and other agave spirits can sometimes overwhelm delicate flavors in cocktails, but it works pretty well in this red/pink drink! The first time you taste this, you will get a light punch of roasted agave, followed by fresh watermelon juice, and then a finish of sparkling rose bubbles. This combination is a perfect summer cocktail! The Sparkling Rose is versatile enough to crowd-please at a summer barbecue or brighten up date night by the fire on a cold winter's eve, thanks to its approachable-yet-unique flavor profile and easy-to-find ingredients.
This drink can be called a tequila French75. Given that the French 75 works equally well with gin and its alleged original cognac basis; it's not as risky as you might think, adding a spirit such as tequila to it. Sparkling Rose is easy to make if you have guests. Just be sure to keep the sparkling wine warm until serving.
Jaime Salas, the creator of this drink, used Milagro tequila in his original recipe. However, you can use a variety of silver tequilas in this drink if you make it at home. You can use your favorite brand or challenge yourself to find the best one for each cocktail. Bartending can be both an art and a science. Don't be afraid to try new things.
