Black And Tan Cocktail

JUMP TO RECIPE

The black and tan cocktail is a drink built with pale ale and a stout beer!

Black And Tan Cocktail Info

This is a layered beer drink that consists of half pale and half stout. It's this two-toned beer that gives the drink its name. You simply layer the stout beer on top of the pale ale!

This is how you get the pint to look perfect. It's possible to fail, but that is of course fine, it will still taste good.

Good To Know Facts

The Black and Tans were paramilitary soldiers from England who were accused of atrocities against Irish people during the Irish War of Independence. Their nickname was derived from their uniforms which were a mixture of black and khaki. You can satisfy your cravings for this drink by asking for a Half & Half if they do not use the original name at your pub.
