The Espresso Martini cocktail is a drink built with vodka, Kahlua coffee liqueur, cold espresso, and sugar syrup!
Espresso Martini Cocktail Info
Since its inception in 1980, the Espresso Martini has been a great way to jumpstart your day and extend your nights.
British bartender Dick Bradsell invented the now-famous drink at Fred's Club, London. The legend says that a top model asked for a drink that would both "wake me up" and "f**k me awake" Bradsell agreed and created the Espresso Martini by mixing vodka espresso, and coffee liqueur.
Suppose you have an espresso machine, perfect! Make a shot and place that in the freezer or fridge for a quick cool down. You do not want it hot because it will melt the ice so fast. It's easy to use cold brew concentrate if you don't have an espresso machine. The point is that the coffee should be strong!
Kahlua coffee liqueur is added to the espresso. This adds a rich, sweet flavor to your cocktail. Shake all ingredients together, and you will get a caffeinated beverage that is balanced with the right amount of sugar, booze, and coffee. If you manage to build some foam on your espresso martini cocktail, you can easily garnish this drink with a coffee bean!
