Ginger Ale Highball Cocktail

Jump to Recipe

The Ginger Ale Highball cocktail is a super simple drink built with rye whiskey and ginger ale!

Ginger Ale Highball Cocktail Info

To make a great cocktail, you don't need to use small-batch spirits or rare liqueurs. There is also no need for citrus or other fruits and juices! Simplicity can, from time to time, be the key to success. In this case, two ingredients are enough to make a tasty, balanced drink. The Ginger Ale Highball cocktail is a super-easy-to-make drink that combines rye whiskey with ginger ale.

Rye whiskey and ginger ale are a perfect match (If you do not have rye whiskey, you can take something you have at home and like, it will most likely, work, too!). Blending these two ingredients makes a refreshing, thirst-quenching drink with just the right amount of bite.

This recipe can be made with store-bought ginger ale. If you feel like making your ginger ale, mix simple ginger syrup, and add some lime and sparkling water to the mix. It will taste a bit different than the store-bought, but it will work.
