Many drinks have been inspired by the Last Word cocktail, which is an equal-part mix of gin and green Chartreuse, lime juice, and maraschino. One of the most famous creations from the Last Word is the Naked & Famous! A drink created by Joaquin Simo while he was at Death & Co.
Simo says, "That cocktail has been my most popular creation. I didn't expect it to be when I made it a decade ago."
Simo says that choosing an aggressively smoky, funky mezcal was crucial for the naked & famous, as it is relatively little of it in this drink, and it must stand up to two strong liqueurs.
We've heard many people wonder about the drink's name over the years. So we'll just leave you with this fun fact. It's a line from a song Simo used to love as a teenager; the song is called "Tricky Kid" from the "Pre-Millenium Tension" album.
